A book's analysis : Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin

The book I been reading a while since few weeks called `` Left hand of darkness`` written meticulously. Story is that based on planet named '' winter'' and people living in this planet are a bit different than rest of the world. Because, A mom can be a dad at the same time and there is no specific sexuality. One man might give birth to child as one another woman does same.  They calll this events as '' Kemmering'' special word that used in Turkish literature, hard to translate. I think it is @ Copulation, you better search from English source to find meaning of word.

Main Character Genre Ai is a ambassador has been sent from winter planet to Karhide. Karhide is yet developing planet and people are quite close-minded. The overruling king is so rude and harsh on his people. Genre ai is taller and darker than other people in Karhide. People call him as pervert coz in his land Man turn to be woman easily while Orgeta is a conservative place to be. His final target is to unit the all planet councils counting Karhide in. He got huge spacecraft in which he can fly back to his planet at anytime. Anyways, some day , he has been arrested by Orgeta council due to his postponement of bringing spacecraft into Karhide. At the other hand, Estraven who was official president of Karhide convicted as betrayer against his own planet and king so has been declared to be killed in place he was founded. He runs away, thousand miles away going to secret islands where no one can find him . Genre Ai used to be still in Jail guarded by mans of king. Neither he drinks nor eat. he falled weak as his fellows are dying in sequence.  Estraven one day come up with suprise and find him in that jail. He pretended like guardian and got him out of jail with a sledge. They stuck in colder weather for 80 days with limited food. They acrossed the mountains and climbed up. They became good friends. However Estraven was still convicted by Karhide king. If he is founded by someone in that border, then would be killed all of sudden. Thusly, it happened.While Genre Ai been waiting on snowy road when they reached to Karhide, Estraven wanted to go beyond the security fences protected by cops. Of course , he has been fusilladed and died. Genre Ai thought that he has committed himself suicidide. Estraven's dad was  upset after all that happening.  Genre Ai has called his spacecraft back to Karhide. He missed his people and small talks. Jokily, all staff in spacecraft was in kemmer period and wanted to have kids from Genre Ai. But he knew how to stop them. He overlapped on spacecraft and flew away. Don't forget; Death and Life are two good friends living side by side/Ursula Le Guin.


Left Hand of darkness is fascinating and exciting book in which you never know what next would be... The book in my opinion refers to some political aspects too just like today's world. Writer is trying to show us a wholly free country and partly free country. Saying that '' In winter planet, we don't use our servants as slaves, we  let them go anytime they want while there was slavery in the earth early's 14. century.

Left Hand of Darkness is recommended.
